Initially I was called by the Marinos to expand this corner gazebo with a pair of Aquarium windows. The young daughters requested a wide variety of specific marine animals which gave me plenty of fun elements to compose my first Aquarium. Once again the surface is the typical cement cinder block backyard wall we favor so much in the Southern California area.
This was another great chance to do animals. Again the requests came from the little girls for their favorite animals, and again it was alot of fun coloring those cement blocks; I just wish the Marino's had a bigger backyard so we could keep going.
They found some more room after all. This is a Fountain of the Madonna in the corner opposite the Aquarium Gazebo. The idea was to fill the background with cherubs and the foreground with portraits of the daughters. The portraits are of the girls as babies and then again at the age they were when the mural was painted. The whole thing is framed by a pair of Marble pillars.
